Psalm 8:1 and 19:7-11 was added later during devotion.
My Shepherd met me in His green pastures. He sent me to feed in Numbers 12-18, and laid me down in Psalm 19. The Mind of the Spirit engaged the spirit of my mind in verse 6:
Psalms 19:6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
The “circuit” of the sun?*
The context of this interesting statement is God’s universal language of Creation, testifying to the glory of our Creator (Psalm 19:1-5). The message of Creation is spoken into all the world in a language understood by every “speech [and] language” (Psalm 19:3—“There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard”). The declaration of the glory of GOD is understood by all, although the message is rejected by many fools (Psalm 14:1; 53:1).
Along the still waters, I pondered the significance of this message relative to the Gospel.
David, by the Spirit, likens the sun moving in its circuit to a “bridegroom coming out of his chamber” (Psalm 19:5). Jesus is the promised Bridegroom (John 3:28-29; see Isaiah 61:10). The Prophet testified that He is as “the Sun of righteousness” when He comes to the Earth, Who would “arise with healing in his wings” (Malachi 4:2).
In the “last days,” declared the Prophet Joel, the call would go out, “Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet” (Joel 2:16). Jesus, the Sun of righteousness,” appeared and John the Baptist heralded Him to be the Bridegroom, calling His bride from her closet (John 3:28-29).
But when the “Sun of righteousness” appeared to Israel, she rejected Him, and He was crucified. He arose “with healing in his wings” and continued to extend His call to Israel, but finally He withdrew the promised kingdom from her and sent the Gospel into the stewardship of the Gentile congregation (Acts 28:28; see Matthew 21:43; Romans 11:17-22). The prophecy of Joel was fulfilled, saying, “the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride” (Joel 2:16) was taken from them (Jeremiah 16:9; 25:10). But the day will come when the “Sun of righteousness” will come for His bride, and carry her away into His chamber (1 Corinthians 15:51-58; 1 Thssalonians 4:13-18). Afterwards, He will return to the Earth with His bride to rule the Earth with His rod of iron (2 Thessalonians 2:1-7; Revelation 19:7-11; 20:1-5).
Jesus is our “strong man” who has and is running His race (Psalm 19:5). Strengthened by the “joy” that the Father set before Him (Nehemiah 8:10; Hebrews 12:2), He endured the arduous test of the race, and now awaits the presentation of the prize: the Bride of Christ (Revelation 19:7-11).
In the valley, He reminded me that I have a race to run (Hebrews 12:1), and that I must run in the path He has blazed for us: “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me” (Luke 9:23).
At the table, while we spoke of His concerns for the congregation, of revival, and the critical importance of authority, of the cloud portending both His favor and displeasure (Numbers 12-18), He comforted me, saying, Remember, Daniel saw the time, and also saw the people were weak: pray like Daniel. He also reminded me of Hezekiah, who petitioned God to have mercy on the ignorance of those who had been a long time without a teaching priest, and so they were ignorant of the ways of GOD (2 Chronicles 15:3).
He anointed my head with His oil and filled my cup with His grace. Goodness and mercy followed us into the harvest.
Praying for revival! 🙏

[*The Bible says the circuit of the sun extends from “the end of heaven,” its origin from the beginning of time, when God created the Heaven and the Earth (Genesis 1:1), and continues in its circuit (revolution, its course) to “the ends of it” (Psalm 19:6). The Spirit testifies that there is “nothing hid from the heat thereof” (Psalm 19:6). The consensus of science is that the sun, together with it’s planets, and their moons, and stars, move together in a circuit around the center of the Milky Way.
