Psalm 146:2 “While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.”

David sometimes asked his soul: “Why art thou cast down, … and why art thou disquieted within me?” (Psalm 42:4, 11; 43:5). He instructed it to “hope in God,” trusting Him to be “the health of [his] countenance and [his] God.” My countenance was troubled. Although I would not say my soul was “cast down,” it was “disquieted.” I’m sure you sometimes have your sleep disturbed by an undefined burden. I can’t eat or sleep with a troubled soul. I rose from my pillow and went for my Bible. I asked the LORD, Please speak to me; please speak to my soul.

My Bible was open on my nightstand. As I always do, I ribboned the place where it was opened and carried it with me from the room. I don’t like to disturb my Dove, and I needed light to read. When I opened it to the place marked by the ribbon, my eye went directly to Lamentations 2:19:

Lamentations 2:19 Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.

Coincidence? Maybe. However, you might be surprised how often this happens.

My shepherd laid me down in Lamentations 2.

My soul is troubled, and my spirit disquieted over the thought of our government collaborating with child traffickers. RFK has reported that the Biden Department of Health and Human Services was collaborating with child sex and slavery (child labor abuses) trafficking.* This is bad enough to warrant outrage, but where is the outrage? Add to this the very real possibility that our own CIA fed innocent children to the perverse lusts of high-profile, highly placed pedophiles (politicians and others with influence and power), to gain control of them and use them as political and/or intelligence assets. Nothing could be more Satanic, dark—rank evil!

Along the still waters, I heard the Spirit grieving for the children. Have you noticed how often, when God rebukes a nation for their evil, He declares their judgment will involve the destruction of the children? (See 2 Kings 8:12; Isaiah 13:16; Jeremiah 13:14; Hosea 10:14; 13:16; Nahum 3:10).** Friend, when Judah fell into the abomination of feeding their children into the fires of Moloch, their hearts were so hard they did not feel the agony they brought on the children—they were past feeling (Ephesians 4:19; see 2 Kings 17:31 with 23:10 and 2 Chronicles 28:3; 33:6; Ezekiel 16:21; which they did following the practices of the heathen God had driven from the Land before them (Jeremiah 7:18) Read Deuteronomy 18:9-10, 11-12). A nation brings these evils upon its children when it departs from GOD (Psalm 9:17).

If we do not execute judgment upon these evildoers, and we allow our children to be fed to the perverse appetites of pedophiles, or if we adopt a national policy that withdraws the sword of Romans 13 from the Divine Mandate, God will release our nation to destruction, He will turn our nation to hell.

In the valley, kneeling in the shadow of His Cross, I asked, Why does Satan desire to devour the children? I heard Christ say, “Suffer the little children to come unto me … for of such is the kingdom of God” (Mark 10:14). Oh, GOD, forgive us for allowing this to go on. Setting aside what we suspect is true, are we so “past feeling” we can’t find it in us to be outraged by as much as we already know to be true? No wonder He woke me in the night: “Arise, cry out in the night … pour out thine heart like water before the face of the LORD” (Lamentation 2:19).

At the table, the King washed my feet (John 13:12-14), anointed my head with His oil, and filled my cup with His grace. He said, Follow Me, and the Spirit hurriedly ran Jesus’ words through my heart: “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me” (Luke 9:23). Goodness and mercy followed us into the Harvest.

It’s reasonable to assume some of those children are included among those who have been recently rescued in an ICE raid of a marijuana farm in Camarillo, CA. They arrested 361 illegals with criminal histories, including rape, child molestation, and kidnapping. They rescued 14 migrant children, 10 of whom were unaccompanied minors taken from HHS custody. Isaiah 13:16 Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.

Hosea 10:14 Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Betharbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon her children.

Hosea 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

Nahum 3:10 Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.

The most disturbing statement of this is found in Jeremiah 13:14 “And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.”

Now read Jeremiah 10:19-21 and understand how this grieves the Father: “Woe is me for my hurt! my wound is grievous: but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it. My tabernacle is spoiled, and all my cords are broken: my children are gone forth of me, and they are not: there is none to stretch forth my tent any more, and to set up my curtains. For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.”]
