THE ENVY FOR SUPREMACY! 20251101

Singing “I Love You, Lord!”

My Shepherd met me in His green pastures and laid me down in Isaiah 62. When I read verse 3, I thought, Wow, this sounds like Semitic Supremacy!

Isaiah 62:3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

I was joking! But the Spirit prompted me to look at this more carefully. There is no official group identified as Semitic Supremacist, or even a narrowed-down version: Jewish Supremacist (since Semitic includes Arabs and all Assyrian tribes). But many who envy the Jews use it as a slur to justify hating and killing them, much the same way white supremacist is used in America, and by the way, with the same intent. Nazis used the concept and the slur to justify the killing of six million Jews in the acid showers of Auschwitz and Majdanek (occupied Poland), where 1 million 180 thousand Jews were murdered with Zyklon B. This was Hitler’s “Final Solution,” and it was not a joke.

God elevated the children of Abraham and made promises to them like this one: Read Isaiah 62:1-12. I heard D’Nesh explain the difference between racism and anti-Semitism. In racism, the protagonist looks down on others with disdain and feels superior to them. The anti-Semite is motivated by a resentment driven by envy.

Along the still waters, as I walked with my LORD, Who is of the seed of David, I reflected on the power of evil envy: “Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?” (Proverbs 27:4). The murderers of a famous Jew Whom God named Jesus were motivated by envy (Matthew 27:18). How ironic that the Jews murdered in a torturous manner a Jew for envy, even while they cried, “His blood be upon us, and on our children” (Matthew 27:25). Oh, the dreadful curse of envy driven murder.

Indeed, the Jews have been abused by the excessive viciousness of Gentile envy. Suddenly, the image of Jesus standing on Mt. Olivet, with Israel gathered in the valley before Him, waving to them, signaling His goodwill. The congregation will notice His wounds, and one of them will be bold and ask what all the congregation questioned in their hearts, “What are these wounds in thine hands?” He will answer the congregation of Israel assembled before Him on that day, “Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends” (Zechariah 13:6). Zion will begin the travail of a woman pained to deliver. Consider the prophecy of Isaiah 66:5-11 —this is the day Zion will be redeemed.*

In that moment, Zion will be redeemed! And the “Gentiles shall see [her] righteousness, and all kings [her] glory,” on that day she will receive her “new name” which the LORD will pronounce from Olivet, when Israel shall be made “a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of [her] God” (Isaiah 62:2-3).

I set my heart prostrate before Him, and my love for Him and His welled up in my heart; I rejoiced to see the day all envy evaporated from the hearts of all the Gentiles, and I saw the complete and miraculous healing of the hurt of His people (Jeremiah 6:14), when their envy of the heir is given up (Matthew 21:38; Luke 20:14).

I vowed to join those that the Spirit calls to give our precious Father no rest “till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth” (Isaiah 62:7). He spoke, “The LORD hath sworn by [the wound of] his right hand,” extended to us all by the “arm of his strength,” that arm “the LORD made bare,” the “holy arm [He made bare] in the eyes of all the nations” in the day “all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God” (Isaiah 52:10). When the jealousy of Israel against the Gentiles for the favor God has showed to us is replaced by rejoicing (Deuteornomy 32:21; Romans 10:19; 11:11), and the envy of the Gentiles against Israel for the favor He has sworn to her gives way to rejoicing (Isaiah 62), then the Church, the Bride of Christ, in Whom there is neither Jew nor Greek (Galatians 3:26-29), abolishing in His flesh the enmity … “for to made in himself of twain one new man, so making PEACE” (Ephesians 2:15). And I wept for the peace God desires for us, made inaccessible by the envy Satan stirs in our hearts. STOP IT!

In the valley, kneeling in the shadow of His Cross, He spoke to me the terms of peace: “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me” (Luke 9:23). At the Cross, envy dies. When we can love the Jew without envy, and the Jew can love us without envy, then the Love of GOD can minister PEACE. Oh, let us rejoice at the glory God gives to Israel, and let Israel rejoice in the glory God extends to His Church, and let us be at PEACE! We can do this if we will borrow from His promises about the future to enjoy what He desires for us today!

At the table, He anointed my weary head with His oil and filled my cup with His sufficient grace. Goodness and mercy walked solemnly to my chair. I stood, they took their post behind me, and we followed my Shepherd into His harvest.

Praying for revival! 🙏
